1.Main parameters to determine the transport capacity

The elevator numbers,capacity and rated speed.
The elevator should have proper transportation capacity which should meet the 5 minutes peak demand.And the time interval should not be too long for the elevator to arrive in the hall,normally can not over 2-3 minutes.

2.Need to focus on the technical performance
(1)The reliability,advanced nature and comfortable
The reliability is the ability of the elevator system to maintain the specified function within the specified time.
The request of reliability refers to the failure to do as little as possible in the run time.

Elevator types according to the signal control

1.Handle switch control elevator

The driver rotation handle position (open / closed) to control the elevator running or stop.This kind of elevator is very rare to see now.



2.Button control elevator

Push the elevator button to control the operation of the inner layer station.When push the call button in a service floor,then the elevator starts to run to respond and stop at this floor.
During the operation of the elevator, if there are other layer station call button press,the system can only keep the signal down, not to answer, but also cannot take the elevator stopped.Until the elevator is completed all the response to the operation of the station before,then the station can respond to other layer station call signal. It is generally used for dumbwaiters or small elevators.

3.Signal control elevator

Signal control elevator collected the call signal of each layer of station,the call signal which is consistent with the running direction of the elevator is arranged in order and the elevator will stop at these floors to pick up the passengers.
Elevator operator is controlled by elevator operator,and the elevator will stop at any level station by the car call button signal or hall button signal.


4.Selective collected control elevator

It is based on the signal control,and collected all the call signal to have a choice of response.The elevator is no driver,can automatically respond to call signal of all the layers in the same direction when the elevator is running.And if no call signal,elevator will stand by at the base station.
In order to adapt to the characteristics of this control,the elevator designs with the door protection device and overload protection device with safety contact plate.
Now most of the commercial elevators and residential elevators are selective collected control mode.


5. Parallel control elevator

Parallel control elevator sharing a set of call signal system,make the two or three sets elevators with same size in parallel to control.
If no passengers use the elevator, often have a lift dock at the base station, the lift is called the base elevator.And the others stop at the pre -selected layer station,we call it flexible elevator.

6.Group control elevator

High rise building with multiple elevators, is divided into several groups, each group of 8 - 3 sets of elevators.The elevators in each group share a signal system.By the elevator group control system, elevator operation coordination with each other, in order to improve the service performance of the elevator system.
Good elevator group control system will keep the most appropriate way to answer call signal based on different passenger traffic demand in the building.

Now more and more buildings installed with elevator equipment,so the investors and designers will meet such problem---How to choose the elevator for your project? Now we talked about the main parameters of elevator type selection and configuration combined with elevator technical issues.



First, we mush know the two concepts commonly used in elevator configuration.
 Capacity
Which is the number of passengers who can be transported by a single passenger elevator at one time.
 Average run time

The running time interval between 2 adjacent to the main floor of the car cabin.
If for several group control elevators,the time will divide to the elevator numbers.
The main parameters of the elevator type configuration are the following:

1.The numbers of elevator

Calculation according to the use of buildings and the flow of personnel inside,with the least amount of investment to meet the reasonable requirements of the vertical transport.Some need to calculate the elevator units by per hundred persons,some calculated per capita area of the building.While the most reasonable scientific method is to carry out traffic calculations.



2.The capacity

The units of elevator need and rated capacity is affected each other, should be reasonable collocation.

(1)The large capacity can reduce the number of lift,to save the construction area and elevator cost.While it will increase the probability of stop layer,cause a long time for passengers in and out of the car,and the average running time will also increased.

(2)The small capacity elevator used will need to increase the number of lifts,which occupy a large construction area and increase the elevator cost.But the average running time can be reduce,and we can fix the car size according to the rated capacity.


3.Related speed

Choose rated speed should be taken into account the traveling height and passenger flow and other factors.When the elevator stops short interval,it is not appropriate to increase the rated speed of the elevator.High speed elevator in the shorter stopping distance sometimes can not reach the rated speed.And the higher the speed of the elevator is, the greater of investment for security device needed.


4.Car cabin open and closing time

We should choose the correct way for door opening,the door opening width and the door machine speed performance.The width of the door should be selected according to the shaft width,car width and counterweight position and other elevator designs and factors.
Larger opening width will make the passengers in and out of the car smoothly.

The World's First Over 500 meters thermocline elevator

In August 2016,the worlds first over 500 meters Jump lift was officially put into use in the first high-rise building of Beijing.This project we called Z15 Tower.

The projects is located in Chaoyang district CBD core area Z15 plots,with a total construction area of 437 thousand square meters.It was 528 meters high with 108 floors and 7 floors underground.This building including the grade A offices, meeting, sightseeing and a variety of ancillary services functions, after the completion of the building will become the tallest building in Beijing.And it is expected to be completed in October 2018 and delivered to use.

The Z15 Tower project site construction workers can reach 3600 people,and all the personnel transport are rely on the construction elevator.While this elevator is far away from the capacity and speed requirement.During the working time, the workers can not get to work or leave the area on time, will greatly reduce the efficiency of construction.

Aiming at the problem of vertical transportation bottleneck in the process of global super high-rise project construction,the project find a new way to solve the problem,that is Jump lift elevator design.


Advance of the use of 4 duplex lift in the main construction stage (officially passenger lift), with the main construction elevator for mechanical and electrical, decoration materials and personnel transport.It is the first application of project construction process of high-rise building height over 500 meters of the jump elevator in the world service.

Application of jump elevator temporary fixed mobile machine room on top of the shaft,after the installation is completed, can be run in closed hoist way.Use the special elevator equipment,can transport the construction materials, equipment  and also workers,can effectively solve the problem of engineering capacity, improve the work efficiency of workers, and ensure the progress of the project schedule.

Use the elevator to avoid the use of ordinary construction elevator occupy the hoist-way of the formal passenger elevator and affect the future installation of the official lift installation.Also the traveling speed of jump lift is 3 times and the capacity is twice compare to the construction lift.Which greatly improve the efficiency of personnel transport in the construction stage,so that the construction progress can save a period of about 80 days compared with the general construction elevator.

Emergency elevator

Emergency elevator is also called fire lift,is a elevator equipment which is used for fire fighting and rescue and has certain function in the building fire.
Therefore, the fire elevator has a high fire protection requirements, the elevator design for fire prevention is very important.
Now in china,the true sense of the fire elevator is very rare made by the elevator manufacturers.Now the fire elevator we see is only the normal passenger elevator can return to the default base station or the evacuation layer function when with fire switch action.It can not take when in the event of fire.


Fire elevator set purpose
Can lift for firefighters in use when in building fire.
As the GB 26465-2011 pointed out:The emergency elevator is not a rescue lift for passengers,so it is only controlled by fireman only.
At present, the conventional elevator specifications can meet the requirements, no need to re-design.

Fire elevator basic requirement
1.The capacity  800kgs
2.The car size  W1350xD1400mm
3.The door opening width  800mm
4.The speed will match the normal standard(No more than 60s for total traveling time)
5.Service for each floor of the building

Waterproof protection requirements of electrical equipment

1.The electrical equipment within 1m from the side of shaft layer,the protection level of the enclosure shall be at least IPX3.
Main components:

Operation panel in the car cabin
Landing door device
The electrical,safety contact plate or light curtain of the door machine
Safety switches,limited switches,car top stop device and inspection device
Flat layer device,lighting and fan in car
Shaft cable and traveling cable
Locking switch for all kinds of maintenance door and security door



2.The electrical equipment more than 1m from the pit ,protection level of the enclosure shall be at least IP67.

Main components:
Buffer reset switch
Speed Governor checking switch
Compensating wheel tension and anti jump checking switch
Pit lighting

Rescue needs of firefighters
1.Car safety window size at least 0.5m x 0.7m.
2.Open top or easy to open ceiling,no special tools needed and there are clear signs and instructions for operation to make easy access.
3.There is a ladder fixed to the hoist way,and there is a tread in the car.
4. A ladder on the car cabin is provided.
